The Last of Us - HBO TV SeriesWhat will likely be the next offering coming from PlayStation Productions is yet another Naughty Dog-inspired adaptation. HBO is currently adapting The Last of Us with Chornobyl's Craig Mazin and The Last of Us co-creator Neil Druckmann at the helm of the production.

In the movie, Mandalorian's star Pedro Pascal will play Joel Miller and Game of Thrones actor Bella Ramsey is set to play Ellie Williams, two roles that carry a lot of baggage because of their emotional arcs and how what they stand for as characters to the fans.

The show is expected to follow the story of the games fairly closely, but will still have new additions which reportedly include flashbacks , and characters that were mentioned , but were not featured on the screen. The show isn't set with a firm release date, but is anticipated to debut sometime in 2023.
